A Chandelier Is Not Just a Bigger Light
A decorative fitting can weigh a great deal more than the ceiling rose it is replacing. The existing point is often fixed to nothing more than plasterboard and a hope.
Then there is access. The best spot for a chandelier is frequently the worst spot to reach: over a stairwell, in a double-height void, or above a landing where a ladder cannot sit safely.
Getting it level and at the right height matters too. Too low over a table and people walk into it. Too high and the fitting stops doing anything for the room.
Hung Properly and Safely
We check what is above the ceiling before anything goes up, and provide proper fixing back to structure rather than relying on the existing point.
Access gets sorted before the fitting comes out of the box. Stairwells and voids usually need a platform rather than a ladder, and that is our problem to solve, not yours.
We set the height with you in the room rather than guessing from a spec sheet, because the right drop over a dining table is different to the right drop in an entry.
If you are replacing an existing fitting we will also check the circuit and switching suit what you have chosen.
