Your Air Conditioner Needs Its Own Circuit
Split systems and ducted units are not appliances you plug into a spare outlet. They need a dedicated circuit back to the switchboard and an isolator within reach of the unit.
On older boards there is frequently no spare way for it, which is where an air conditioning install stalls on the day.
Refrigeration mechanics do the refrigerant side. The circuit, the isolator and the supply are electrical work, and getting them done beforehand is what keeps the install on schedule.

Supply Sorted, Install Goes Smoothly
We run the dedicated circuit, fit the isolator where it needs to be, and provide the supply your unit requires.
If the switchboard has no spare capacity we will tell you at quoting and price the upgrade with it, rather than leaving you with an air conditioner that cannot be connected.
For ducted systems we cover the supply to the indoor unit and controller as required.
To be clear about scope: we do the electrical side. We do not handle refrigerant work or mechanical servicing, so a full install is us plus a refrigeration mechanic.

Excellent Work And Quality. I first met Sam about three years ago, when I needed some light switches moved down from where they were. He was very professional, respectful and honest with the work that he was doing and the issues that he encountered while doing that. So much so that I have used him regularly, For my own electrical needs and the needs of my parents and family. Great communicator, always punctual and reasonable pricing. MillerCo Technologies are registered and licensed For all your electrical needs. I’ve had houses rewired, upgraded power points and switches, split system units installed, ceiling fans with LED lighting, electric hot water units, data points, TV antenna, switchboard upgrades, mains replacement, light fixtures upgraded to LED Installations, exhaust fans and outdoor lighting installed by Sam. Always upfront about works required and is happy to help you work out options to fit your budget. Absolutely no regrets with the work that’s been done, cannot recommend Sam and his team of professionals, more.

Air Conditioning Electrical Questions
We do the electrical side: the dedicated circuit, the isolator and the supply. We do not handle refrigerant work or mechanical servicing, so a full install is us alongside a refrigeration mechanic.
Air conditioning draws a significant sustained load. Sharing an existing circuit risks nuisance tripping and overloading, so it runs on its own protected circuit back to the board.
It lets the unit be safely isolated for service or repair without shutting down other circuits. It has to be within reach of the unit.
Older boards often have no spare way for a new circuit. We check before quoting and include any upgrade in the same price.
Ideally yes. Having the circuit and isolator in place means the refrigeration install runs to schedule rather than stopping halfway.
