A Venue Is Judged on How It Feels

In hospitality the lighting is not a service, it is the atmosphere. Get it wrong and a well-designed room feels like a food court, no matter what was spent on the joinery.

The other half is load. Kitchens, coolrooms, coffee machines, POS and service equipment all running at once puts real demand on circuits that were often sized for whatever the building used to be.

And it all has to keep working through service, because a trip at seven o'clock on a Friday is not something you can trade through.

Venues We Have Actually Fitted Out

We have fitted out bars, restaurants and cafes across Melbourne's east, and the photographs through this site are ours: backlit bar shelving, feature lighting over booths, display and joinery lighting.

On the practical side we run the power, new circuits and board work that a working kitchen and service area actually need, plus the data and communications for POS and back of house.

Lighting control matters as much as the fittings. Being able to change the room between lunch and evening service is what makes the space work across a whole trading day.

Once you are open we can pick up the maintenance, which is easier when we already know the site.

Sam and his apprentice were very professional and even though we were running a business while they did the work they were not intrusive at all. Thanks for a great job

Asked Questions

Hospitality Electrical Questions

  • Yes. Lighting, feature and decorative work, power, new circuits, board work, data and the alterations older buildings need. Bars, restaurants and cafes are a large part of our commercial work.

  • Where the job needs it, yes. We will talk through what has to happen while you are closed and what can be done alongside service.

  • That is a big part of why venues come to us. Backlit shelving, display lighting, joinery lighting and pendants over seating are all work we do regularly.

  • Kitchens and service areas need proper circuit sizing for equipment running simultaneously. We look at the whole load rather than adding outlets to whatever is already there.

  • Yes, and it is worth having someone who already knows the site. See commercial maintenance.
